Welcome to Shalom!

Be sure to check out the Special Events page for what's happening at Shalom.

About Shalom
If you are looking for a dynamic, energetic and growing congregation that cares about your spiritual health, you've come to the right place.

As our mission statement says, "We believe God is calling us to invite people..." and so we invite you to our worship services and all of the various spiritual growth activities that Shalom sponsors. We plan every week for your visit and we trust you will find our worship services and other scheduled activities to be warm, welcoming and relevant to your life.

The purpose of our welcome (and all that we do) is to invite you into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe God's Holy Spirit works through worship, study, Christian service and spiritual friendships, to bring us closer to the heart of God.

This deeper relationship has two primary outcomes. First, in relationship with Christ, we discover peace: peace with God, peace with others, and peace with ourselves. (Our name "Shalom" means peace and wholeness in Hebrew.) Second, as we grow deeper in relationship to Christ, we find ourselves drawn to follow Him in lives of compassionate service. We believe each person is unique and has God given abilities that can be used to love and serve others. We strive to  identify our unique spiritual gifts, and where God is calling us to use them.

Worship Services
Sunday: 8:30 a.m. (traditional) and 10:45 a.m. (contemporary with worship band)
A staffed nursery is available during services.

During the summer, Pastor Grant is continuing the interactive sermons similar to last summer.

Small Groups
There are numerous small group opportunities to participate in at Shalom - from men's and women's Bible studies, to Sunday morning adult education classes, numerous committees, and music groups. Look for signup sheets in the narthex for some new small groups forming - for snowbirds, for non-snowbirds, and for parents.

Sunday School and Wednesday After-School Programs (NEW!)
Sunday School is offered each Sunday during the school year at 9:30 am for ages 3 through Junior High. Beginning fall of 2010, Shalom will be offering Wednesday after-school programming for it's youth. Check the Youth Ministry Page for more details.
